The 16th Hong Kong Inter-Primary School Debating Competition – Finals and Awards Ceremony

The 16th Hong Kong Inter-Primary School Debating Competition, organised by Po Leung Kuk, co-organised and sponsored by Tin Ka Ping Foundation, was held successfully at Hong Kong Science Parkon 23rd May 2026. Our Chairman, Dr Jenny Y C TAM, attended and delivered an opening speech.

We are honoured to have well-known professionals from different fields as our judges for the competition. The debate topic was " Hong Kong primary and secondary schools should adopt ‘AI-driven adaptive assessments’ as the development direction instead of ‘traditional standardized examinations", and the two finalists were Baptist (Sha Tin Wai) Lui Ming Choi Primary School and Pooi Kei Primary School. After an exciting competition, both teams performed exceptionally well, and the judges found it truly difficult to distinguish between them. As a result, the competition produced—for the first time in sixteen years—a historic outcome of dual champions.
